ANTICIPATED ROAD CLOSURE TIMINGS – SUNDAY 11TH DECEMBER 2022

Please be aware that the below roads will be closed and reopened on a rolling basis following our last runner.

Therefore, if our last runner passes earlier than anticipated the road will be opened as soon as it is safe to do so and may be sooner than the times below.

8.00am – Road Closures begin to be enforced
9.00am – Race begins
9.03am – First 10km runners approach Marine Parade, northbound
9.05am – First 10km runners approach Millbank Street and Princes Street
9.08am – First 10km runners approach Northam Bridge
9.15am – First 10km runners approach Britannia Road
9.22am – First 10km runners approach Ocean Village
9.24am – First 10km runners approach Canute Road
9.30am – First 10km runners finish the race
9.45am – Final 10km runners approach Britannia Road.
10.10am – Final 10km runners approach Ocean Village.
10.10am – Final 10km runners approach Itchen Bridge underpass.
10.30am – Final 10km runners approach St. Mary’s Stadium and finish the race.
11am – All roads to reopen.

This race has a 90 minute cut off time for all runners so you can expect all roads to be clear of any traffic management marshals and diversions no later than 11am.

Should the emergency services need to use any roads impacted by the race this will not an issue and there are plans in place to give and allow safe access for emergency vehicles!
